If you have or have experienced an uncontrollable loss of urine while coughing or laughing, need to go to the bathroom frequently or wear pads "just in case," you may have urinary incontinence.
Incontinence often happens to women after childbirth due to a weakening of the pelvic floor muscles as a result of being overstretched or torn during pregnancy and childbirth. Additionally, as a result of the normal aging process hormonal changes occur which cause anatomical and physiological changes that can lead to conditions that cause urinary incontinence.
