In 2008, Ayana received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Pre- Physical Therapy from Howard University in Washington DC. She worked in a physical therapy clinic as an aide and exercise specialist for over 7 years which then encouraged her to pursue a degree in Physical Therapy. She continued her educational studies and received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2013 where she was a part of the National Honor Society for Academic Excellence.
Her clinical experience includes the evaluation and treatment of sacro-iliac and spinal dysfunctions as well as an array of surgical and nonsurgical procedures of the neck, back, shoulder, hip, knee, ankle and foot. Her interests include treatment of a variety of diagnoses including lower kinetic chain dysfunctions, chronic pain conditions, neurological conditions and the promotion of overall health and wellness.
She has completed continuing education courses in the following areas ranging from A Comprehensive Shoulder Examination to Medicare compliance with treatment and documentation. She is CPR certified and has a Maryland certification.
Ayana and her family enjoy long nature walks exploring the outdoors, exercising and spending quality time with family and friends.
