Dr. Olsen’s first interest in Physical Therapy began while she was in high school; where in her sophomore year, she sustained an injury to her knee while running cross country. She required several months of Physical Therapy in order to return to sport. Her Physical Therapist was very encouraging and from there, she knew that she was interested in helping others get back to their hobbies/sports. Dr. Olsen attended Virginia Tech for her undergraduate Bachelor’s degree in Human, Nutrition, Foods, and Exercise. She then received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Shenandoah University in 2022.

Dr. Olsen was a personal trainer and cycle instructor throughout college and has a passion for athletics. She also completed a clinical rotation in which she had the opportunity to observe pelvic floor Physical Therapy and enjoys incorporating pelvic floor training into her clinical practice with orthopedic cases. Throughout her clinical rotations, Dr. Olsen gained experience with treating all musculoskeletal disorders, treating post-surgical patients, and working with some pelvic floor and pregnant patients.

Dr. Olsen lives locally in Maryland. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with her friends and family. She enjoys cooking and trying new dishes to share with others. She also enjoys completing wood burned projects and charcoal drawings.
